Originally from Richmond, Virginia, Julia Brown is a fiction editor at AGNI, and has been a member of the magazine’s editorial team since 2019. She earned her MFA from the University of Houston, and is a former fiction editor at Gulf Coast, A Journal of Literature and Fine Arts. Her work has been published in Gulf Coast, Mosaic, and SmokeLong Quarterly, and other places. She teaches at the University of Houston and is at work on a collection of short stories.
